LBI Fly Kite Festival
We are excited that the 5th Annual LBI Fly International Kite Festival will again be gracing the beaches of Long Beach Island over the course of Columbus Day Weekend in 2019! LBI Fly was organized to bring the brilliant colorful artist design kites, fun flying giant inflatable kites and the amazing show of sport kiting to our beautiful island. This free and cross-generational event will yield even more spectacular and unusual kites this upcoming year. We hope you will join us for this amazing community event.
Lighthouse International Film Festival
The Lighthouse International Film Festival was founded by a collection of filmmakers, film critics and film industry professionals who share a passion for film and wanted to create an event aimed first and foremost at film enthusiasts. The festival will present feature films, shorts, documentaries and family films, as well as panel discussions with leading film industry professionals. Taking place on Long Beach Island, NJ -- one of the East Coast's most popular surfing destinations -- the festival celebrates three days of new, exciting and challenging films in honor of Long Beach Island's historic Barnegat Lighthouse.
2024 Chowder Festival
Chowderfest Weekend has become a tradition for family and friends to gather together to say good bye to summer and welcome the fall. Always the weekend before Columbus Day Weekend, this year join us on October 5, 2024, for the fabulous Merchant Mart (free admission) where local vendors offer the best deals of the season, and Sunday,October 6, 2024, for the Chowder Cook Off Classic (a ticketed event). Chowderfest Weekend goes on rain or shine at the Taylor Avenue ball field, Ninth Street and Taylor Avenue in Beach Haven (across from Schooner’s Wharf and Bay Village)
